Many children that are preschoolers and elementary-aged grew up with the amazing “Baby Einstein” series of books, videos and toys. Now that they are older, Disney has grown with them and is now providing entertainment for their age group – “Little Einsteins”. With characters June, Leo, Quincy, Annie and Rocket, there are fun and enjoyable characters that both boys and girls will appreciate. That makes “Little Einsteins” a great theme for your next child’s birthday party.

To start the party, have big glasses, head bands, baseball caps, pig-tail holders or red head bands with a single antenna in the middle available. Each guest can decide which character they would like to be during the party! If they have a different character from a particular episode they want to play, have name tags available and you can write the character on it and stick the name tag to their clothes.

You will not have any trouble finding games and activities to do at a “Little Einsteins” party. To start out the party, why not go to a dollar store and get all the guests a kite. If conditions are right, let them fly the kites outside and pretend they are saving all the dragon kites for the dragon kite parade. If you are crafty, you can make Origami Kites with the guests instead!

Next, you can play musical “Rocket's" - like you would play musical chairs. Have a bunch of chairs with a picture of Rocket taped to them and play classical music selections from the show. Then, you could try your hand at “Pin the Glasses on Leo”, just like you would play pin the tail on the donkey!

After the physical activities are done, why not have a bunch of toy instruments that they guests can play with? In many episodes, instruments are some of the main characters…so you can provide toy drums, trumpets, whistles, clarinets, violins and keyboards for the guests to explore. Or, have the kids create their own piece of art! Using large pieces of paper and finger paints, you can have the guests mimic famous pieces of art or use their imagination to make their own.

Food at a “Little Einsteins” party can be whatever you would like it to be. Since all the characters are elementary aged, they would surely like popular snacks like apples, grapes, cut up veggies, goldfish, hot dogs, hamburgers, and any other foods you can think of! Don’t forget the cake decorated with “Little Einsteins” characters and yummy ice cream!

When the party is winding down, pop in one of the “Little Einsteins” videos for all the guests to watch. See them learning and laughing and helping Rocket blast off by going “Pat, Pat, Pat”!

The “Little Einsteins” theme has become rather popular, so is easy to find in many party outlet stores. Unfortunately, many of my readers have told me they cannot find Little Eintein's party supplies anywhere, and I have been able to find no manufacturer for them either. You can choose solid color plates, napkins and cutlery to coordinate with your other party items. If you have trouble locating the paper products you want in your hometown, go to your computer and look at the many quality party stores that are located online. (Tip: when ordering online, leave plenty of time for shipping!)
